Privacy Policy
Be kind.
That includes how we treat your information. We collect as little as we can. We never sell what we have. We only use it to help you learn. The rest of this page is just the detail behind that promise.
What we collect
If you sign in, we store your email address and your vocabulary progress. That is it. We use them only to sync your progress across your devices.
If you do not sign in, we collect nothing personal. Your progress lives in your own browser.
The site uses Google Analytics to understand how the app is used. This is set up to be as private as we know how to make it. IP addresses are anonymized before storage. Cross-device tracking via Google accounts is disabled. Ad personalization signals are disabled.
What the analytics actually record
Beyond simple page visits, we record anonymous gameplay events so we can see which parts of the app are working and where to invest our time. These include:
How many rounds people complete, how long their streaks get, how many words they master, when they hit milestones (like 10 days or 100 words), whether they sign in, install the app, or enable dark mode.
None of these events include your email, your name, your IP address, your specific answers, or anything that identifies you. They are counts and aggregates, not a record of any individual person's behavior.
The reason we record this is to make the app better. If we see that people consistently abandon their first round, that tells us the onboarding needs work. If we see most people never make it past 50 mastered words, that tells us we need to make the early levels more engaging. We are not trying to build a profile of you. We are trying to build a better learning tool.
What we do not do
We do not sell your email or any other data. Ever.
We do not run ads.
We do not track you around the web.
We do not share your progress with anyone.
When we might email you
If we ship a major update to the app, we may send you one email about it. That is the only reason. No marketing, no newsletters, no upsells. To opt out at any time, send a message on LinkedIn (link below) and we will remove you.
How your data is stored
Local progress lives in your browser via localStorage and cookies. You can clear it any time using your browser's site data tools.
Cloud sync uses Supabase, a hosted database service. Each user can only access their own row, enforced by row-level security at the database level.
If you want your data deleted
Click "Reset all progress" in the stats panel to clear local data. To delete your synced cloud account, send a message via LinkedIn and we will remove your row.
